Tiago Ilori is still eligible to play for Nigeria at senior level The Liverpool’s defender, who is still eligible to play for Nigeria at senior level, is looking to be fit enough for tonight’s European final against Sweden
Liverpool’s Defender “Tiago Ilori” hope to win the European U21 Championship on Tuesday night with
Portugal when they take on Sweden in the finals in Czech Republic.
Tiago Ilori  is still eligible to play for Nigeria seein he was giving birth to by a Nigerian father, Tiago Abiola Ilori, 22, has been a part of the Portuguese youth set up from the U18s and looks set to crown it all with a win tonight in their final match again the Swiz.
Even though he sat out on bench for their Saturday’s semi final 5-0 win against Germany through a thigh injury, Ilori could return to the starting lineup against the Swiz.
Portugal are searching for their first victory at the U21s level after failing to win it in 1994 when Luis Figo and co reached the final but lost 1-0 to Italy.
William Carvalho and Bernardo Silva have been in inspired form going into the final making Portugal favourites to lift their first ever title at this level.
Reaching the final means Portugal have qualified for the 2016 Olympic football event which will be taking place in Rio.
