FEAR GRIPS FRANCE

Sagna wary of Nigeria threatThe French defender has warned his teammates not to underrate Stephen Keshi’s men when both sides meet in Monday’s World Cup second round encounter
France international Bacary Sagna is cautious of the quality in the Nigeria squad ahead of Monday’s 2014 Fifa World Cup round of 16 clash.
Estádio Nacional de Brasilia will host the game between both sides as
they will be hoping to secure a place in the quarter final.
According to Sagna, Stephen Keshi’s men will pose a lot of problems but insists Didier Deschamps’ men will remain focused to triumph.
“They are the best African team at the moment,” Sagna was quoted by Soccerway
“They have very good players. Some play in the biggest European clubs, especially in England.
“They will fight and they have a lot of qualities. But we want to concentrate on ourselves. As players, we aspire to go as far as possible, to win trophies.
The former Arsenal player also revealed Les Bleus’ aspiration of winning the trophy at the end of the tournament.
“It would be a failure not to win the trophy. Initially, we wanted to qualify from the group. Now, we want to go step by step.
“There are 11 players who will start, but the 23 are important. The atmosphere is very important and we try to keep this dynamic,” he said.
