West Brom boss warns Eagles forward

It’s Swim Or Sink For Ideye

West Brom boss Alan Irvine admits it may soon be sink or swim time for £10million club-record signing
Brown Ideye as the Premier Leageu season enters its most crucial stage.
Ideye has featured only fleetingly this season but Irvine has indicated the Nigerian and other fringe players could get their chance as the Baggies enter a frenetic Christmas and New Year period.
“We’re coming into a period of nine games in 32 days where we are going to need everybody and they’re going to have to be ready and do their best for the club,” he said.
“In some cases it will be a case of ‘sink or swim’ but we’d rather they didn’t sink. It’s important that they’re able to perform and are ready.”
Irvine admitted it can be difficult to get Ideye and other fringe players “match ready” for the Premier League.
